Why Swine Flu is Dangerous?
Swine flu is considered dangerous due to the following reasons:
- Spreads quite fast through air and touch
- Ability of the virus to undergo modifications
- Lack of vaccine capable of preventing the spread
- Antiviral medications cannot be useful in all situations
- Resemblance of symptoms to common flu—people may ignore symptoms until they become severely affected
- Lack of knowledge about spread, prevention and treatment among many individuals
- Overuse of antivirals can make the virus resistant to them
